Organic Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride

Origin: Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride is derived from coconut oil and glycerin. It's a specific fraction of coconut oil, containing the fatty acids caprylic and capric acid.

Safety: This ingredient is naturally derived and safe for cosmetic use.

Purpose: Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride is used in Bio Retinol because  it is lightweight, non-greasy feel and makes a super light serum.

Quandong Extract

Origin: Our Quandong is grown and hand harvested in the Kimberley and Kununara region.

Safety: Quandong extract is safe for cosmetic use. We use it due to its essential fatty acids.

Purpose: Quandong is in Bio Retinol due to the gentle exfoliating properties of the fatty acids found in the extract.

Sea Buckthorn

Origin: Sea Buckthorn oil comes from the pulp of the Sea Buckthorn berry.

Safety: Sea Buckthorn oil is a natural ingredient and safe for cosmetic use.

Purpose: Sea Buckthorn oil is used in Bio Retinol because it contains beta-carotene which converts to Vitamin A (retinol) in the body. It also contains high concentrations of other essential vitamins and fatty acids.

Bakuchiol

Origin: Bakuchiol is derived from the seeds of the Psoralea corylifolia plant, commonly known as babchi. It is a natural alternative to retinol. 

Safety: Bakuchiol is safe and non-irritating, even to sensitive skin.

Purpose: Bakuchiol is used in Bio Retinol as a proven retinol alternative.Research demonstrates that bakuchiol provides the same benefits as retinol without the associated side effects.

D-alpha Tocopherol (Natural Vitamin E)

Origin: D-alpha Tocopherol is the natural form of vitamin E, derived from vegetable oils including soybean or sunflower oil.

Safety: Vitamin E is an antioxidant that is safe for topical use. 

Purpose: Vitamin E is used to protect the skin from free radical damage and to prevent skincare from oxidising.
